Also returning is TV host Jon Olson. Jon has was part of the very first Iron Chef goes Coastal and has been away for a couple years as he has been travelling and sharing the world with Next Stop travel show. We are very honored to have him back. The two will bring a great dynamic to the live show and will guide us step by step through the competition.
Our Judges Panel has the very difficult task of scoring each of the teams three dishes! This year we are pleased to welcome back Kevin LaCoste of US Bank, State Senator Betsy Johnson, new this year we have Chef Tim McDonald of Food Services of America and Chef Vitaley Paley of Paley’s Place in Portland. Chef Paley is a also an “Iron Chef America” winner of 2012, we are very excited to have all of these esteemed judges with us this year. There is one more judge’s seat available, which will be auctioned off right before the competition starts! This is an amazing opportunity and will go to the highest bidder.

Ballots will be given to each event goer and will be tallied up at the end of the evening. Every restaurant has brought their best to this event, so be sure to come hungry! The People’s Choice Dessert competition going on as well.
The silent auction this year is going to be great! Travel and stay-cation packages from our area will be the focus of this year’s silent auction, from hotel stays, spa packages and dining out, there is something for everyone
One more very important fact of this event is that all of the food, time and talent is donated to make this event happen and would not be possible without a long list of individuals who help organize, set-up, break-down, help spread the word of this fantastic event. United Way of Clatsop County is near and dear to all who help and really make a huge impact on many lives on our community.
United Way of Clatsop County
Not for ourselves, but for our friends and neighbors in crisis.
People who have been self-reliant are suddenly finding themselves needing help to pay for heat and rent. Unemployment, hunger and homelessness are on the rise.
United Way’s Annual Campaign helps fund a strong network of social services to aid people in need. Our network of agencies is reporting record-breaking demand, so your help is needed now more than ever. The economic plight affecting so many hard-working families may not always be visible, but the impact is all too real in our schools and among our service providers.
If you are able to respond in any way, your help will make a critical difference. If you’ve already made a gift to United Way this year, please consider an additional one-time emergency gift. If you haven’t donated to United Way, please do so now. It may be the most important gift you give this season.
Please help us meet our 2014 campaign goal of $275,000. We greatly appreciate your support.
