Welcome to United Way of Clatsop County! United Way, a nonprofit agency, serves thousands in our community every year. We are focused on advancing the greater good by addressing issues that matter the most to the areas we serve. United Way has become synonymous with caring and helping children, families and individuals. We have a long tradition of helping people with basic needs-food, clothing, shelter and safety-and changing lives through strong, well-managed programs.

Stay tuned for 2016 Iron Chef ticket sales.
The event consists of ten or twelve restaurants that provide appetizers and desserts to attendees, who purchase tickets to the event, and as part of the evenings entertainment, there is a visible kitchen set-up (where four Chef’s who perform as two teams) have an hour to prepare a meal and are judged by a panel of five judges. The team that wins returns to compete next year and the attendees vote on the restaurants appetizers and desserts and select a winner in each category, titling it “The People’s Choice,” who will also participate in next year’s event.
The event opens at 5pm and usually wraps up around 8:30pm. This is a very nice event which provides guests an opportunity to taste a wide variety of gourmet food and watch professional Chef’s at work. TV personnel who interview competitors record the event throughout the evening.
This event is a fun party where people eat, drink and are entertained! They also have an opportunity to take advantage of receiving a basket during our auction, by being the highest bidder, where they will win great prizes; all while knowing they are also supporting such a wonderful cause.
